Famously known as Bobby Benson, Bernard and his band (Bobby Benson and his Combo) thrilled Nigerians to some of the best highlife routines at his Caban Bamboo (later Hotel Bobby) nightclub, along Ikorodu Road, Lagos State, in the 70s.
