ENGLISH TRANSLATION BY DELE AJAJA: Let’s pace wobblingly, act stumblingly, and see who pacifies us. Let’s repose, act like we are deceased, and see who expresses sympathy for us.
CLARIFICATIONS: It is hard to tell the true feelings of the people around us when things are good. We discover the true feelings of others when we run into hard times. Some of those who act like friends today could be “fair weather friends.”
